About
The 2025 International Wigner Workshop (IWW 2025) is the 6th edition of a biennial workshop series established by the Wigner Initiative. It will be held on May 19-20, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, at the Salt Lake City Marriott University Campus. As in years past, IWW will be a satellite workshop to the IWCN conference, held in the two days preceding IWCN. For information on registration, venue, and travel, follow the appropriate links on the IWCN website.
Wigner functions have seen increasing importance in modern quantum sciences thanks to their ability to illustrate nonclassical behavior and quantum entanglement. This makes them very important for coherent matter-wave physics, optically based frequency standards, and systems using quantum entanglement and coherence. In addition, the Wigner function approach gives unique insight into the properties of nanostructures.
